Mar-AI
starts with the understanding that no two boats are built the same, making it as flexible and dynamic as your company. Below are some case studies showcasing how
Mar-AI has adapted to meet customer requirements:
Plantation Boat Mart is a premier dealer in the USA, situated in the Florida Keys. They sought a solution that would integrate customer management while addressing boat tracking needs for insurance companies. In response, we developed a free app that connects current customers and prospects with Plantation Boat Mart through marketing and broadcast messaging.
The app also features a basic tracker that can be activated by end users, enabling them to fulfill insurance requirements or simply monitor their boats. This hardware is compatible with both new boats and can be retrofitted to existing ones. Plantation Boat Mart proudly represents prestigious brands like SeaHunt, Deep Impact, Invincible, and Bluewater. Launched in June 2024, the Plantation Boat Mart App is continually evolving to meet customer needs.
Bluewater Boats is celebrated for its legacy of crafting high-quality fishing boats with an impeccable manufacturing process. The company takes pride in not just delivering great boats but also in fostering a community of boat owners. This initiative focuses on enhancing the company’s social media presence, along with the ability to retrofit all existing Bluewater boats—regardless of their age or onboard technology—to use the Bluewater App. Launched in July 2024, this solution emphasizes the importance of telemetry and social media in its development.
Vtech boats are compact, measuring 18 feet, and the company sought to tackle telemetry and power consumption, as a comprehensive monitoring system would likely be overkill for this size of boat. To meet this need, we developed the OEM-1 telemetry module, which provides real-time reports on location, battery voltage, weather conditions, and more, all while consuming minimal to very low battery power. Meanwhile, boat owners can meet their insurance tracking requirements and stay informed about events and new product releases from Vtech—all through their mobile app.
Costa Carts boasts a well-designed and durable line of electric carts, making it the only electric cart manufacturer to offer customers live telemetry through an app. This feature enables users to monitor battery charge percentages and other customized vehicle information. One challenge in this project is managing the high voltage of these vehicles and implementing the appropriate hardware for wireless data transmission.
This ongoing initiative will allow Costa Carts to enhance the app as demand increases, facilitating inventory control at the dealer level and the introduction of commercial and business applications related to the carts in the near future. The telemetry system is anticipated to launch in late Q4 2024
The CCO Boat Club app is user-friendly and easy to implement, designed to help manage various aspects of the boat club, including membership, calendars, locations, and more. Additionally, it incorporates customer relationship management (CRM) functionality to enhance communication and engagement with members. Currently, this app is not linked to any hardware devices; its primary focus is to improve the user experience for CCO boat members.
This boat builder is utilizing MAR-AI to its fullest potential. In this project, the builder aims to monitor the manufacturing process and the timing between each stage, as well as the duration that the boat remains on the dealer lot. To achieve this, we implemented a combination of a production app for manufacturing control and an end-user app. All processes are recorded as they progress from the mold to the hands of the end user, who will have the option to activate the preloaded telemetry device on their boat. The details of this project and the name of the manufacturer are set to be released in Q1 2025.
In this scenario, the insurance provider aims to give policyholders the option to install a telemetry device on their boats, enabling the company to offer improved rates. We are utilizing a straightforward two-wire hardware device that is very easy for the end user to install. This project is currently underway and is projected to be released by Q2 2025.
